m-tec and WEC Group have recently fabricated and painted The Sail sculpture for IT Services Company, SCC. The sail has been an integral part of SCC’s marketing, being in essence the company’s logo. Its unusual shape and colour has been captured in the brilliant piece of work produced by WEC Group. It is proudly displayed in SCC’s new Global Headquarters in Birmingham and is sited in a courtyard setting and visible to all of their visitors and staff passing through their HQ operation.
In a separate commission, m-tec and WEC Group were involved in the project to place a vintage Hawker Hunter aircraft in a prime position in the front of SCC Birmingham’s Technology Park which fronts its Global Headquarters. The aircraft is a representative of British design and engineering where much of SCC’s work is digital engineering but exploring the same skills as earlier generations did in our aero industry. m-tec and WEC designed and produced the structure to support the aircraft and to display it in its optimum position.
Sir Peter Rigby DL, Executive Chairman of Parent Company Rigby Group said – “I can say that as a client we are delighted with the quality of work on the various projects that we have given to WEC and of the manner in which they have been formulated and managed.”
