The project was a collaboration between urban planning, architect Julia Rowley and m-tec architectural fabricators to create the pair of illuminated stainless steel, glass and acrylic sculptures which stand at 5 metres tall.
The sculptures were installed either side of the city’s main junction in September 2008 and Wolverhampton City Council awarded Julia’s design work for the Stafford Road Regeneration Project.
The project was Inspired by the city’s motto ‘Out of darkness cometh light.’ The sleek design was intended to reflect the diversity and vitality of the city.
